Renee Deans is the program director for When People Work. As program director, Renee is one of the leaders in our mental health division. Her responsibilities include overseeing the intake process, collaborating on the person centered plans for participants, hiring case managers and overseeing their work and developing soft skills programs that will help our participants on their road to assimilation in the community. Renee has her bachelor's degree in business with a concentration in management. Renee had worked in business management for over 20 years. Then in 2016 Renee started a day program for Intellectually Developmentally Disabled consumers at an eastern NC agency. She began with only two clients and in two short years the number grew to 80. During that time, Renee has supervised over 200 employees and consumers. Renee is very passionate about helping others. She will go above and beyond to provide quality services to the individuals in need.
