Profile

Linda Wilkins-Daniels, prison and family services director. She is also the founder of Speaking for the Speechless, a NC non-profit organization that advocates for underserved people. Wilkins-Daniels said when she retired from the US Airforce and began living in Goldsboro, NC, she began seeing the large number of people who did not know their Constitutional rights were being violated on a daily basis. She was also shocked that the United States incarcerated more people than any other country in the western world.

Wilkins-Daniels has recently moved the operation to 204 E Walnut St in Goldsboro. A believer in educating the community, she began telling the community about “Ghost Dope” and other loopholes that often cause people of color and poor people to be sentenced to over 100 years in prison. Many attend her criminal justice reform meetings. She is personally responsible for working to get people released from prison who were falsely accused. She presently is working on several cases of wrongly incarcerated people.
